Guys, I'm working on the school bid, nice one, did it last year too.

This year they asked me to bid on edging as well. Last year we never power edged the walks and curbs. I just string trimmed it as it was neccesary and as they requested and charged the time extra for it accordingly.

What price would you normally charge for power edging by the linear foot or by the 100 linear foot? Keep in mind we are a small town, very conservative, no big money to spend, no million dollar neighborhoods, HALLO NEBRASKA!

I did the search and came up with this posted by kutnkru sometime in 2001.
"Try calculating edging using these figures:
gas or stick edgerÂ’s - multiply (x) 50 cents per 100 linear feet (lf)
line trimmers (turf-curb areas etc.) - multiply (x) 75 cents per 100 (lf)
line trimmers (along chain link fencing) - multiply (x) $1 per 100 (lf)

Would this be a good guideline to work from if so then I know what to do.

    Help and advise please
