I have to re-edge 700' of beds and topdress with 36 yrds.

What would you recommend to do the edging. Normally I would just use a stick edger and a spade but this is house is surrounded with topsoil and shale mix. Edge hasn't been touched in 3-4 yrs.

It will be tough to hand edge and could be tougher to use a bed edger plus it will kick all the debris into the beds I need to topdress.

Recommendations would be grateful. Especially if you have experience with this type of soil. Now i know why i stay in the valley and don't go into the mountain region.

Well basically your 2 options are bed edger or spade edge...?? Figure out which is going to be easier and go at it. Not going to be fun either way but should pay pretty well

Well I knew that:laugh: Which one will be easier though? Someone out there has to have had this type of soil.

    BTW job pays 700
