Something I've seen around here, and like your article says, some guys edge with the motor up near the face or over their head. I don't do all that, I hold it in the same position as if I was trimming, just rotate the trimmer counterclockwise 180 degrees.

Yep, I see people doing that around here too. I just flip it over makes it easy to quickly switch between trimming and edging.

I prefer to use a curved shaft while edging a sidewalk, for me I dont need to have such a high angle the make the line perpendicular to the ground. And I can edge like a mean SOB :waving:
