How effective is Treflan if it is applied during the first week in August. This lady doesn't want to mulch, and I am tired of weeding. This would be the first app. this season. Yes, I do have a pesticide license.

I would go ahead and do it. I sometimes pick up customers in the middle of the season, and apply pre emerg. to beds> and see results. More than likely the product used (Treflan) is granular and will have about a 6 month residual(depending on rain fall etc.)

I also have some customers that like to mulch themselves about once every year, and of course they don't do it right. They either purchase crummy material or do not apply it thick enough. Labor and spray cost will eat you up every week+ some weeds grow fast and make your properties look bad- for their neglect "I don't think so"
