I have a 1995 toro walkbehind with a 12.5 kohler command. What engine, both kawasaki and kohler, will fit this mower?

Anything up to and including at least the 17 HP engines have the same bolt patterns. The biggest differences will be in the charging system and length and diameter of the output shaft of the engine. You will need to check on an engine by engine basis which one actually has the correct specs.

Personally I would retire the machine but for a mower that old you will not want to stick anything much higher
than a 10hp on it, the reason I would suggest staying low on the power bar is because otherwise the new engine
will just tear up all the worn out parts.
