How much RPM or power is lost while climbing a hill or 15 percent grade?
Our Bobcat Zturn w/23HP Kawi, seems to lose alot of power climbing hills.
The tach shows 3,500 to 3,600 rpm, push the sticks forward and the motor dogs out.
Could this a sign of weak hydro pumps.
Would full synthetic in the hydro system help??

Adjust the no load high speed RPM to 3700/3750 and see how it does....

    Rob,
What's the upper limit on Kawi RPM?

As always, thanks for your input!

What I posted above, 3500/3600 is on the low side especially after the deck is engaged.

    Rob,
You're right once we engage the blades (61" deck) we loose some power there.
Okay, spool it up to 3,700
Just don't want the thing to come apart on us.

I would have never posted to raise it if there was any chance of damage from doing so..... :nono:

    Rob,
It's a different machine (no load set 3,700 RPM)
Any suggestions on putting a little more go in my Silverado 6.0 gas??
    Thanks again!

Just start at the top and ride down hill instead.

    Sorry, had to do that.

Well.....The first places to start is air intake and exhaust, Get the engine breathing better. A performance air intake system would take care of that then a set of shorty headers with a performance free flowing cat-back exhaust system. After those mods you could get into a performance re-program chip, With these mods that 6.0 should wake up !
