Has anyone used Escalade 2 from Nufarm in a Permagreen? If so what kind of results did you get? (I know the herbicide kills weeds.) I am just looking to see if anybody has had problems with clogged nozzle's the next day or so after spraying this product.

My reason for asking is that the original Lesco Momentum FX had a similar percentage of Fluroxypyr and they had to change the formula to a lower percentage due to clogging problems with low volume applications. (this is why it is now Momentum FX 2) I am curious if any body has had similar problems with Escalade 2 since both products are made by the same manufacturer.

When did they supposedly change FX2 again. The last change I am aware of was over a year ago when they had to drop the clopyralids because of it's residual in grass clippings etc.

I've also been running FX2 for years and never had any clogging issues from it and I run low volume.

Yes the original Momentum had Clopyralid and they did change to Momentum FX. The original FX version had clogging issues due to too much Fluroxypyr. They changed to FX around 2004 or 2005 and then changed to FX 2 around 2006 or 2007. The FX 2 version is a lower rate of Fluroxypyr. Escalade 2 has a higher percentage of Fluroxypyr, this is why I was wondering if anyone had problems with Escalade 2.

Escalade 2 is my herbicide of choice and I have had no problems with tips getting clogged on my Ultra. I got good knockdown and control with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good all around herbicide. FYI, it worked great on ground ivy as well with many complements coming from a customer who has paid others to knock it out of her yard with minimal success.

If I remember right my mix was 30 oz. of Escalade per 7 gallons of water, or 1.3 oz / 1000 sf. I think the range to stay on label is between 1 and 1.5 oz per 1000sf.
