I Received A Call Tonight From A Women Who Wants A Field, 2.5 Acres Mowed. She Claims That Her Horse Is Grazing In It At This Time And Is Maintaining The Grass. I Typically Do Not Cut This Type Of Property. I Would Like An Idea On Pricing. I Will Be Using John Deere Rider 42".i Was Thinking 55.oo Dollars An Acre So 135-140.oo.i Estimate Maybe 2hours. Does This Sound Like Ball Park Figure In Terms Of Time Amount. By The Way It Is All Flat No Trimming/blowing. Thanks Dave.

If that JD is a lawn tractor as I suspect it is since it is a 42" cut you can at least double that cut time.

If this is a 42" rider and not commercial equipment I believe it will take you a good bit longer than 2 hours and you'd better wear your kidney belt................
If it's a field that horses graze in it will be tough cutting grass, not turf grass.

EXACTLY! And those hundreds of piles of big brown heeps will be Horse Shite so you'll either be dodging 'em or discharging 'em.....

Any thing that is a field. You want a brushhog type mower.
