I am about to do a foundation install and the client has no irrigation system. I've heard before that some people install soaker hoses that run to all of the root balls, but are hidden by the mulch, ground cover, etc. Is this feasible? If not what are my other options?

Yes you can cover the soaker hose with mulch and it will work fine. Just did it in an install a few weeks ago and the Arbs are thriving. Do not bury in the soil just cover with mulch.

you can also use that 3/4 plastic pipe, and then run a 1/4 inch tube off the pipe to each plant, ive seen that done and it works nicely.

Netafim is the product you are referring to. It is a professional drip tube that can be covered up with mulch. But don't ever let it get covered up by dirt!

Do a search here in the irrigation forum for Netafim. Or just do a search online. It's good stuff. Simple to use and install.
