Is it gas or diesel, how old is the truck, is the "rotten eggs" smell always there or intermittent, did the problem begin recently or has it always been an issue, and are there any other symptoms such as the engine being down on power?

At a guess, I'm going to assume it's a gasoline engine and the catalytic converter on your exhaust may be getting tired or starting to plug up - I am just guessing however.

I had an explorer with the same problem. I used high octane gas and from time to time it would get that rotten egg smell, so what I did was let the gas get as low as possible and then I would fill it a couple times with regular gas. Then I would return to using high octane until it happened again. Maybe not a total fix but it got rid of the smell.
