Exmark Lazer XP hydraulic fan pump leak

Just looking for some advice on my minor leak. I believe it is from the shaft seal.

My parts manual lists a seal service kit: I was wondering if this was a straight-forward repair to do? Would the kit come with instructions or should I leave it to an expert mechanic?

Thanks for any advice.

If you are mechanically inclined ,should be ok. Get the pump info on line for the break down . Get the whole seal it .the oem .Its not worth taking short cut there . I took the whole pump out .Must be very carefull of dirt getting onto ANY thing .I used balloons on the lines and ruberbanded the off.I guess
you could use plastic bags ..... first thing is the wash ALL off first . mine just poped out no big deal .

good luck rt

Thanks for the advice - I did send a message some weeks ago to Exmark via the website, but unfortunately have had no reply.
