Went and looked at two machines today. I am looking at two different ones. Both are hydros with 36" decks. One has a floating deck and the other has fixed but the floating deck they wanted $400.00 more. I am trying to make up my mind, is the foating worth the extra money? Getting rid of my belt drive exmark because when I mulch it throws the wet grass back under the right drive wheel and slipping begins, so the hydro is going to makes a little easier

If you change your cutting height often, I'd go with the floating deck. If not, the fixed would be fine on a 36". If you do get the floating deck, you may have to do what I did to mine; put a pin on the bottom so the "floating" doesn't cause the deck to stick in the up position. Mine was driving me nuts the first couple of days until I did that.
