Anybody use these extend a bed products. There are a few different brands out there. I'm thinking of going to a 6 ft. box on a new pickup and get an extend cab. Don't want the 8ft. box with the extend cab. Thought maybe the bed extension would do the trick when doing the lawn business. Any comments or opinions are appreciated.

I haven't herd much on the concept of "extend-a-bed. Do you have a link?

I have an idea of what the extend-a-bed could look like, but would like to view a few pics and read about the idea.

If your referring to a product like kirby posted, I would think your tailgate would get in the way of the trailer tongue, if you were towing a trailer...I know sometimes when I'm towing a trailer at work with my truck, and go into the bed, the tailgate may rest on top of the jackstand or tongue, especially if the truck/trailer is on an angle...will it interfere when turning corners?...

Since I own a 250 ext. cab w/ 8' bed, I know its a big truck, and one with a 6.5' is more maneuverable, but it sounds like you need the 8' bed to begin with, so why would you get a new truck and put an "ugly" bed extender on it?...
    Especially if your buying new.
