I am looking for a new body style F250 4x4 tranny for my landscaping business. I don't really care about engine type. and prefer a regular cab. I want to spend less than $15,000. I really want a manual, because I love driving them, and having the certanty the transmission won't go out. What are your oppinions on the transmissions (manual/automatic) and do you know of any in North Georgia. Thanks for the help

You could get a 1999 Powerstroke in that range I'd say about $12,000

The manual transmissions are great but I've heard many good things about the new Torque shift autos! You should be able to find something good in that budget! Good Luck!

A good place for you to go to find out about these trucks is www.ford-trucks.com..............its several forums.......go down to the one called SuperDuty. I just bought an 02 F250 XL 2WD 5.4 Auto w/air, tilt, cruise, and an ARE aluminum shell for 7200 bucks, but I think loan is actually about 12k.
I love the truck, never thought I would like a plain, basic truck, espicially after having the XLT Powerstroke. Has plenty of power, good ride, 12 mpg city, 15 mpg highway running just under 80mph
