Anyone have or know where I can find a F525 that is out of service. I need the engine. Hydro is fine. Really just need a block.

Any help would be GREAT. Having a hard time finding a parts source other than JD.

Call your Kawasaki dealer. That is an inexpensive filter.

Filter won't do me much good with a 6 inch long 1 inch wide chunk of the crankcase missing:)

Unfortunately failed engines are usually what finally puts these machines out of commission. The heat and way the engines were packaged in the machine seemed to kill them sooner than most Kawi engines.

Most donor machines you find will also have failed engines. The engine wasn't widely available, so most folks gave up on their machines when they found out a replacement engine was $$$. Smallenginewarehouse.com lists a repower kit for about $1200.

I really want my F525 to last as it runs great. It has almost 1400hrs on it.

Would it help if I installed an electric cooling fan to help keep it cool???
