Does anybody have a formula for fall cleanup quotes?
In the past I simply eyeball the property and estimate man-hours.
This season I acquired several 15,000 to 25,000 square foot accounts in a mature wooded community.
Estimating 5,000 square foot properties seemed simple and the downside risk of low ball pricing was minimal.

What method of cleanup are you using? Mowers with vacs or blowers and a truck vac?

If your using mowers with vacs some will charge 2 or 3 times the normal cut price plus extra for hauling it away.

If your using blowers and a truck vac as I am, I charge per man hour. I just give a ballpark figure and I explain this to the customer. And I make sure they understand this so that when it turns out to be 320 dollars instead of 250 they won't freak out. I don't say what the hourly cost is but if its a rough sale explain that your crew is very effiecent and if any breaks are taken they (the customer) isn't being charged during that time.
