Febco PVB freezing ans breaking.

    I've had three 1" 765 Febco that the poppet and bonnet have broken due to freezing. (Pushed out the top.) After looking inside, I am curious if the top half will drain out the bottom if a drain is underneath or if the backflow itself has to be blown out.

    If they were installed so they could drain, pull the lower check so your sure it does drain and repair them now or later. It shouldn't matter except for the new kit wintering and when you get the money.

    Open the test cocks....allows it to drain...air locked.
