I decided the guys with the big businesses should be charging us for their time on Lawnsite.

Original Post: 125 a day for two (it's usually a question).
Replies to our posts: 250 per.
    PM's: 450
Phone Calls: 850/hr, 1 hour min. charge.
Conference attendance: 1,400 per day plus travel. Triple for presentations.

All checks payable to Island Lightscapes, I'll distribute money at the end of the year.

Also, new program: I am considering billing manufacturers a sponsorship fee, at 125% contractor cost per fixture. I'll wear their baseball cap. Truck wrap with logo, 25K.

I am also switching my phone number to one of those 900 numbers, where the prospective customer will be charged for phone consultations.

Newspapers and reference books (yellow pages) will be charged for my content, at 125% of placement cost.

My community association will be billed for having a lighting pro in residence.

Gas station convenience clerks will begin tipping me for using a credit card at the pump and not bothering anybody.

My family will pay me a pro-rated fee each time they call or interrupt me while I'm working.
