I have an Ariens Zoom 2048 I bought last fall. I have about 30 hours on it. So far, so good. I think I heard somewhere they are having some problems with hydro units.

Also, on last year's models, the control arms rub against metal where they come through from under the seat and mine are already showing some wear.

Overall, I am very satisfied for my homeowner use on 1.5 acres.

I just bought one last month, love it! It's my fist ZTR so I cant compare it, but it is my best investment so far, cuts my time in half. Keep in mind it is a residential if your using it commercially, but that is the chance I took for $2500. Using it for my 30 small res. customers and large 42 unit condo account.

I have an ariens 1640. I am replacing the spindles on the mower deck with new ones. I bolted all the spindles on and was putting the pulleys on. I put one on and tightened the bolt on top and everything is fine spins good. Went to do the other 2 and when I tighten the bolt the shaft won't spin. So I tried taking the pulley of the on that does spin good and tried them on all the other spindles and they all spun good with that one pulley. So question is are my pulleys junk or bent. There's a washer with a 1/4 inch lip that goes below the pulley. Is that rubbing something. I can not figure it out. Any help
