any opinions on which to choose, i keep hearing how great the suspension is on the ferris, looking at a ferris is2001 with a 61" deck and 25hp engine or a toro z560 series witha 60" deck nad 30 hp engine, 7300.00 for the ferris or 8000.00 for the toro, just a little worried about a 61 deck with 25 hp engine.

If you get a chance, get a copy of Turf Magazine for the September issue. My company field tested the Ferris IS2000 Z you're talking about (for 7 weeks) and I wrote up the test results personally.

Sorry, I know absolutely zilch about that Toro model.

I just bought a Z 500 Toro. However, I demoed the ferris model you are refering to twice before buying the toro. Don't get me wrong, the Ferris ride is awsome. But the quality of cut could not even compare, plus it was another $1000. On a only moderatly tall lawn, it left windrows, even with the discharge chute up. I have a 7 year old Toro Z Master with 1500+ hours on it, plus the side of the deck smashed in, and it mows and stripes better than the Ferris I demoed.
