I have a Ferris dd wb that I bought brand new last year. I use it today for the first time this year and I notice when I engage the blades, the engine really bogs down before it builds rpms up again. Last year it didnt do that. My questions is, am I able to adjust the deck belt ?

It has to do with the electric clutch. It will "loosen" up with use. Just engage the blades around 3/4 throttle and pull the choke a little when you engage the blades. Also throttle down before turning blades off(disengaging). It will prolong the life of the clutch. These newer models are different than the older ones that never broke. I fried one with only 400 hours. A new electric clutch costs around $200-$250. Its all good, so don't sweat it.
