Hi my deck height is off by 1/2 and it cannot be adjusted anymore. its at the maximum last thread of the adjustment hanger. any suggestions??? i followed the instructions in the book and still no luck.
does anyone with a ferris Z2 52" ICD have a difference between selected height and actual height????
I had the same thing happen. It was off by about 3/4 of an inch and not pitched so I cut some blocks at 4 and 4.25 and set out to adjust the deck. I ran into the same problem with running out of adjustment room.
I don't know what I did to fix it, but I just screw it and i'm starting over. I pulled the deck all the way up, cracked all the nuts and lowered them out of the way that hold the "adjustment" and reset the deck. I raised it up higher and with it in travel mode measured I think 5 inches off the deck all the way around and made sure the deck was hanging free.
I noticed it was hanging up before. This time around I put the blocks under one side and then basically went thru the process again. I think the first time, I set one side, and then set the other it was getting hung up a bit and that was throwing the measurements off. I could push down on one side fo the deck and it would push down further, so I knew the measurements weren't accurate.
So this time I i would count rotations of adjustment, and then do the same to the other side, keeping it to 5-6 half turns per time. So basically I set the back, then set the front. I have no idea why I had the initial problems, but the 2nd time was quick and easy.
