guys, whats a good explaination for a customer who's yard is soley tall fescue that is matted down.the yard is cut at 3 1/2 inches and there some places that are just matted down.it is very thick bladed fescue.the customer had a dog watch put in thier yard and to me it looks like all the traffic from where they worked didnt help.also, the yard is uneven in places so that dont help either.you can rake the areas up and go back and cut them, alot of work though.anybody ever had this problem.any suggestions?

Too much nitrogen and not enough potassium. The grass just becomes weak and wimpy. It just lays over from side to side and does not cut because of it. If you want reference to this type of lawn, just find anyone who has has chemlawn for a few years.
