Does anyone use Filemaker Pro? Do you have any templates you can share with me?
I use 7 now, but started out with 2.0. The thing that I use mine the most for is signage in the nursery. It's all one database that is capable of doing plant lists (catalog), laminated informational signs, and client info.
I've also used it for recipes, CD inventories, cassette (music) listings/liners, and instead of spreadsheets.
It's a really useful application but having a good book truly helps with the custom setups. It's also helpful to have a rough draft (on paper, like a flow chart) of exactly what you want in the database (which fields) and what characteristics are required in each field. Much less trial and error if you've worked this all out beforehand.
