I'm going to meet a homeowner who wants a swimming pool filled in. The concrete has been removed.

I never did this before. He wants it filled and sod installed over it. Any pointers on doing this?

Just fill and run a compactor over it? Just wanted to double check with you guys to see if there is anything special I should be doing. I checked with the city and no permits are needed.

Oh I just saw the part thy says "the concrete has been removed".

My bad!

Well in that case, just fill it in. Compact with a trench roller.

You mentioned sod. I steer our pool customers away from going with sod. It settlement occurs (even with being compacted), all the money they spent on sod just got flushed down the drain. Now if we backfill with aggregate, then that puts a different spin on everything and well do sod.
