Finally done with the first job of the season, I think it turned out awsome. All natural material for the most part, with the exception of a paver patio down by the lake.

Huge house with relatively small lot right on the lake.

    edit--

ok I have tons of pictures but apparently I dont know how to use the attachment thing right... I'll figure it out

That natural stone wall in pics 1-4 looks like chit to me... Looks like a 5 year-old stacked it up...

The first sod pic looks good; the next sod looks like crap... Roll your edges and butt them up tight when you lay. Not to mention offset your bonds......

The stone steps up the hillside look good but with a run that long I would have tried to put in a landing between 1/3 and 2/3's of the way up the hill. Incorporate a bench-type of stone.

Looks like a lot of work, to say the least. How did you get your materials down the hill?

for the steps - mini-x and chain
tb, sand, mulch by teledine (sp?)
    plants by hand

The wall is supposed to look 'random', thats how we were supposed to build it so thats exactly how we built it. Busted open a pallet and just started stacking, making it fit the best we could.

    Anything else wouldnt be random.

I agree, the small patch of sod looks like crap. Thats my fault because I was too lazy to bring the roller around the house for such a small patch (8' x 10' maybe).

Now I realize I should have

I totally agree, and so did my foreman about putting step/landings in on the way up to the steps in the wall, but the designer didnt agree.
