    Full-time Raleigh firefighter here. We work 24on, 24off, 24on, 24 off, 24on, 96off. I have around 25 accounts, mostly commercial.:usflag:

    I have been working full time for 4 years now...on 24 and off 48 so it gives me time for my 30 clients. I have been mowing for 3 years now and I cant see any other line of work that works great with my work days.

    Been a NJState Correction Officer 6yrs got about 80 weeklys and 1 helper I work 16 Sat/Sun 8 Fri off M,T,W,T also its nights 10pm - 6 am so I have alot of time but I am not taking any more accts been weeding them out a few a year to make them all a little closer together with the $3 gal gas

    wow, i dont have it half bad down in Atlanta.....24 on and 48 off with a 5 day vacation after your 8th shift. I couldnt do 24 on 24 off.....of course this is what im used to. anyway, everyone be safe. Im off for another long 24 hour shift.....ill run my 12-15 butt ache calls and then back to cutting grass.

    Full time firefighter at Tulsa Fire... currently take care of 45 mowing accounts and about 30 leaf customers..and a few flower bed maintenance customers. I feel like Im overwhelmed sometimes.:usflag:

    I used to be full time in the green industry, but i've been full time with the Sheriff's Office here for the last 2 years. I'm going to try and take on more customers this season.

    I've been in lawn care since '99 and always done it myself. I have two guys I'm supposed to get with this weekend to potentially hire (at least one) on as part-time.

    Referring to the landscape maintenance, I pretty much do it all myself. From irrigation repair to installs to basic full-service lawn maintenance. Unfortunately, it has taken me away from much of any life during the growing season; therefore, we now have to expand into the wonderful world of employees!:laugh:

    been a full time firefighter/EMT for 10 years, started lawn service in 2003 and currently have about 40 accounts, we work 24 on / 24 off after 5 shifts we get 6 days off.
