First full day back as solo

Well, today was my first full day back as a solo operation. And I didn't make it easy on myself. Cleaning out a 4 acre apple orchard. Not fun! But I do admit that I enjoyed myself. There was nobody there to complain about how tired they were, or how this stinks, how their back hurts, etc.

Can't wait until the season begins

Solo is the only way I could work. Glad you enjoyed yourself. Much luck to you on the upcoming season.

thanks, much appreciated. Going back out tomorrow to rip up some old landscaping that a customer wants done. I am doing all the odd jobs before the mowing season begins.

Mowing solo isnt so bad. Landscapning on the other hand id never dream of doing solo anymore. Heavy lifting....digging...pushing heavy wheel barrows. Id rather let my employees do that kind of work.

;) SOLO?

I guess I lost track of the thread about cutting your manager's pay.

Looks like you cut his pay more than the .75-1.00 you were talking about!

yup went back to Solo last Thursday. Looked over the numbers, and it wasn't worth it to have employees. Basically, I looked over the last 3 years and saw that I could save A LOT of money by going back to solo and have more in my pocket, about a net of $6,000 more each year.
