Do you guys think I could fit a 46" eXmark Lazer HP on a 4x8 trailer? I really want to keep a small trailer, it makes life easier. I know the deck size would squeeze through but mowers are often wider than the deck. Thanks!

My 48" Toro Z rider was fine on my 5x8 trailer. I had to bungee cord the rubber discharge chute. I had about 3 inches on both sides. It will take you a little while to learn to get it up there without scraping the sides but you probably can fit it in. Your spec sheet should tell the dimensions of the mower.

Won't Fit.. the 46" refers to the cut not the deck size, i will bet you deck measures 48 - 50" Plus the discharge chute if you have one... i had a 4x8 trailer my first year, a 36" WB fits just fine. you MIGHT be able to get a 42" on there. but i seriously doubt you;ll get a 46" on it unless your trailer doesnt have any sides on it.

Even if it is barely wide enough, when you back up, the front casters have to swivel around and usually move the mower to one side a little bit. Don't go smaller than a 5' trailer. I'd suggest even going 6x10 so you'll have more comfortable room and can fit a larger mower in the future.

just that the metal tubes that the wires run to the signal lights aren't welded that good on most trailers and when your mower sides scrapes it it will break the weld. It will fit but you only have 1 centimeter of space. Get something bigger. Spend the extra $85 trust me. I feel so embarass. It is light I can push it up my steep driveway.

That 46" mower will be, I bet, no more than 47" max. And the mower itself is no wider than the deck.

I don't think you'll have any problem.

Measure the actual mower first to be sure, or try loading it before you buy it, that's all.

I probably am but am considering a bigger mower...do you guys think I could fit a 48" w/b without discharge chute?
a 48" on a 4x8 ??? the 48 Wb will have a deck size of approx 50" without the discharge chute and the trailor is 48" wide. No Way uless you cut the sides off the trailor

Why do you guys keep saying that??

Usually a 48" deck is just SLIGHTLY over 48" wide, and usually the cut is just slightly UNDER 48".

Measure the actual deck!

the 48" refers to the cut but even if the Deck is only "slightly" over 48" wide you still will not get it on a 4x8 trailor that is only 48" inches wide
