There are a couple small threads already on this, but I have a few questions that weren't answered. I am in the process of getting a two year degree in "Landscape Operations". This covers pest control, fertilization, etc. As I understand, if you have a degree, then you need to work for a company for one year to take the test. Is the degree that I am getting enough to be able to be able to take the test, or is a 4 year needed? Also I have heard that many companies have you sign something that says that you will not start your own business for a certain amount of years if you work for them. I dont remember who mentioned this to me, and I wasnt sure if it was true. I guess they would do that so that people wouldnt work for them, just so they would take the test and get their license. Also, I would appreciate it if yall could post where I can get info on all of this stuff. Thanks in advance for the help.
