Ok whats the deal, Do the mailbox (Tape-On) Flyers really work. What are some of your experiances. I have always walked a flyer up to the door. But if these tape on flyers work, i could save time and walking. I could just drive and stick drive and stick. What do you guys think??

Ive never done that or seen it done, seems like it would be illegal. Check with the post office before doing that, you could can get fined big time $$$$$$$$$$$$ when messing with mailboxes. I do doornob hangers and stuff flyers in newspaper boxes. There is not always a newspaper box for every mailbox, ground covered in so little time makes up for that. It works well to, not as good as doornob hangers. I cant walk enough to just do doornob hangers, so thats my solution

Putting anything on or in a postal box is a federal offense and can get you thrown in the pokey, I just call some of the teenagers that live in the block and give them $5 a hour to spread fliers~NaTe

Check with the town s you are passing out flyers in.. Call the Police dept or the town clerk... Most towns require you to get a solicitors license to put flyers on doors... Believe it or not !.. You can get a nice fine for this too.... Every one has their hand out >LOL..... They are usually cheap , just have to go through the step s , fill out application , pay money , get picture taken , etc, etc.... But it's better than the fine.......

I once put a sign on my own mailbox for parking in my yard, and the mailman took it down. The second you set it up, you are giving it to them, they own it, they control it, dont put anything on it or in it, its not worth it. Even if you dont get fined, you never know if the people got it, or if the mailman has 400 fliers in a stack on the floor of his car!

You R talking about the Mailbox itself correct?
I am talking about the post, that holds the mailbox?
    Is this a federal offense?

A lawn service here in town hit our neighborhood with fliers taped on everyones mailbox. Half of them did not stick and ended up on the street. I saw the mailman pulling off those that did stick as he delivered mail. By evening our streets were littered with them. My wife and kids took shopping sacks and picked them all up off the street. She said it looked bad, and she did not want anyone to see them as they were from the competition. I bet less than 1 person out of 100 ever read those fliers.:D

Thats risky Nelson, you know those mailbox huts with a row of mailboxes under it usually in housing developments. I would make flyers with tearoffs on the bottom and staple them to the hut, never got a complaint and affective too. If you do this make sure you stick the flier in some kind see through plastic bag, then leave the tearoffs hanging out. You can also take these to banks, supermarkets, librarys and any other public posting board. I also put flyers in newspaper boxes very easy and fast, beats walkin. If I find a area of $500,000 homes then I do my doornob hangers.
