When you go down hill on a belt drive mower does it speed up? I have a hydro and a belt drive exmark and when I go down a hill on the belt drive it speeds up like 6-10 miles per hour unlike the hydro that doesnt speed up or slow down. Is there an adjustment or is that just the way they are?

thats the way it is ,only thing that helps is keeping the brakes adjusted ,and shifting to 1st gear ,i seem to have better control that way
