In August I bought an enclosed trailer and it has the standard two domes lights the run off the truck... I own a generator and wanted to mount it to the tongue and run wiring from a box on the tongue into the trailer and put in some receptacles and put flourescent lights inside...

I was wondering if anybody else out there that has wiring in their trailer, can tell me what size and kind of wiring they used from the tongue into the trailer and then inside the trailer?

    Thanks in advance

I would imagine you need to wire just like you would wire a house. I would run some 4ga wire from the generator to a small breaker box in the trailer and branch my wiring out from there. I would also wire it so you can plug in a cord from the house or garage to power up the trailer. That way, when your at home you dont have to run the generator. Just plug it in and work away. Much like an RV. Just make sure your wire size and the loads you will be using all jive.
