I'm looking at a ford CF7000 cabover dump truck, 7.8L ford diesel, 5&2, single axle. Just curious if anyone has had experience with the cabover fords, and with the 7.8L brazilian diesel. It's and 87 but it's in immaculate shape. Rated 33K GVW.

Anybody care to give me their knowledge on this truck. Performance loaded, interior room, reliability, parts availability etc??

those trucks were not a bad truck ,but a lot of them had lucas girling hydraulic brakes which are expensive to repair ,we salt our roads in the winter and that eats the steel brakelines ,and they have a poor heater ,both of those issues might not bother you depending on where you live .The brazilion engine are pretty darn trouble free, other than the fuel shut-off solenoid but they can be easily converted to a manual shut-off cable .
