Its better than a lawnmower engine.
not quite as good as an 18 wheeler engine

sure beats buying a dually with a 4 cylinder

I have an 02 F-350 with the power stroke and like it ( its a lot noisier than the duamax in my dumptruck ) The injector pump went out at 18,000 miles, but it was covered under warranty, and the dealership said they had never seen that happen before, It has 120,000 miles on it now, and sons are driving it ( and i dont think they baby it ) with no other problems, plenty of power and decent mileage

i'm sure he means automatic, manuals are bulletproof generally.

Ya it is a good engine, its been around for a long time with a terriffic reputation. I don't think the horsepower is as much as the 6.0 L powerstroke, but it is still a better engine than the 6.0L.

The turbo version flies, especially if you add a superchip. Gas mileage ain't that good, for me it was about 17 mpg with an automatic.
