Does anybody know the tow capacities of a Ford Ranger with a 3.0 Liter V6
and/ or one with a 4.0 Liter V6, both with manual transmissions???

Supposedly 5890lbs.

I own a 97 - 3.0V6 Auto and pulling a empty 6'x10' is a PITA on the interstate, not to mention if loaded.
A V8 is in my future.

One other thing that does hurts me is the over-sized tires, 235/15 when it came stock with 225/14's.

All Rangers can tow max gross weight @ 3500 # ( 2.4L 4 bangers can do just 2000#, a Z and the trailer ), they printed higher for newer model but they can't handle more than 3500 #. The small V 6 or newer 4.0 v6 is okay to pull a Z and a hydro WB, and 6x 10 trailer with equipment as long as they don't go over 3500. If you go over, your clutch will be very shortlived.
F-150 and up all the way if you want to do lawn service.

my 2.3l Ranger has pulled up to 3500 lbs on a few occasions. has been pulling 2000 lbs for a few years.
