Forest fires part 2

    I had some relatives ask me about sprinklers to spray down the back slope (untouchable state lands) of their hilltop lots. I had to tell them it was pointless, unless they could get a new over-sized tap and meter installed.

    Think of it this way Boots, a 5/8 meter will push much more than the 75% safe recommendation, fire would be an emergency and you're smart enough to plumb your way around a meter issue.

    It would have taken over 100 gpm to damp down the top of a brush-covered slope in a short interval of time.

    Ugly and somber day here. Those were all local kids up in the Prescott area, not far from home.
