What are you using to seal concrete foundations with prior to building raised patios against them? Almost all of our 2004 projects involved some sort wall with a raised patio at the sill level. Are you all applying black sealer to the foundation or something different like Ice/Water shielding to prevend moisture from the subbase from permeating the walls?

    Thanks

The foundation walls should already be sealed, IMHO...

When we fixed the foundation under our sunroom this summer, I waterproofed/sealed the walls with roofing tar.

The tar needs to be the trowel-on, fibered type. I used a 3-knot brush to apply it, I suppose there are other ways too. I believe I got a 5 gallon bucket of it at HD for ~$25, I think it was Henry brand....

    HTH.
