Free Fertilizer?

    Just a thought for those of us going through this recent (5 week) drought. If you are billing per cut and are down to every 14 days or so, would it make sense to dump on a $30. bag of fert to give a good shot the next time that we do get a good rain? :confused:

    It depends on if you want to burn up the grass or not. If you can a market for that,...then I would say yes, you might be on to something.

    $30 for fert? I pay $7 for a $50lb bag at the local yard here.

    DO Not put nitrogen and dry stressed lawns.

    So you guys are saying that it's not a good thing to add nitrogen to an already stressed lawn? What if it got just a LITTLE water.... like an inch or so in the next two to three weeks? So the fertilizer didn't lay on top...Would that help?

    if you put nitrogen on it now it will burn up. don't do it.
