Runs a bit on the slow side. When you go to install the accounting software, it requires MS SQL Server and .NET 2.0 framework. Be prepared to have a long d/l time on a dial up connection.
I read somewhere that running the accounting software eats up something like 150 MB of RAM. Although that may not be the correct number, I can attest that my P4 1.3GHz 512 MB RAM does run slower when loading up MS Accounting.
The accounting package works in conjunction with MS Office. It sends your invoices to MS Word (as an option) and also integrates Outlook for emailing your invoices.
Since it's "free," I'm really not going to complain too much. I would have just liked to see MS put out a solid product. The SQL server & .NET 2.0 dependencies are a real bummer.
thanks for letting us know about this...i downloaded it and eager to begin using it once I figure it out...this would be great for the startups like myself...it's free!!!

I bought the full version last year for 300.00:-/. I downloaded the free version it's pretty much exactly the same minus some advanced reporting that nobody uses

Wow sorry to hear that, $300 is a lot of money. I was curious how you like it. I've only been using it for a little while at the end of my season.
Thanks,
Miguel
