Hello, im new here and looking for some knowledgeable advice on how to properly finish or cover and protect a drain project in my yard. right now its just covered up with scrap wood. We do have dogs that i wouldent want falling in like some kind of giant carnivores plant trap. All input and advice is much appreciated, thanks.

I have never left a french drain open in any way. Usually wrap the hole with landscape fabric, fill it with clear stone, wrap the top with landscape fabric, and then soil and seed over the top.
