Anyone have any experience or ideas for mounting a leaf vac on the front of a truck that already has a plow receiver attached to the frame?
Current setup is a Billy goat DL18 on a swing away hitch (rear mounted), but it doesn't swing out quite far enough to clear the gate when dumping.

I've seen some vids on utube with guys doing it with 35hp ones, you may want to check with local law enforcement first...

We run 2 vacs off of plow mounts.

Both on Isuzu cabover trucks so great visibility and turning radius.

The first one we had is a 16hp trac vac that that goes into a plywood box on our switch and go. The second is a 35 hp billy goat that shoots into a tarp system via a custom fabricated bulkhead.

For the first on and the 16hp we had a second "push beam" fabricated that replaced the plows push beam. So switching from leaves to snow means you need to switch the push beam. The other truck does not plow so we do not have that problem of switching.
Both truck brackets use a dual receiver hitch to support the leaf vac and mount.
The 16hp we can lift off and on but the 35 hp weighs a lot more and we connect 3 trailer jacks (one on each side and one in the front) to it to take it on and off the truck and move it around the shop. 1.4.12phonepics 225.jpg index.jpg Blackberry 028.jpg
