Go to the hardware or auto repair store and get a tube of "Seal All". It's made for gas and oil repairs.

Yep. By me, there are these nice people who pick up stuff like that at the curb for "repair".

After all that and spending 8 bucks or so for adhesvive, it just doesnt seem worth it.

Im replacing all my cans this year, except diesel. Well overdue. Want to get the no spill and see how they hold up, friend has one with good results

    Then an EPOXY type glue.
"Permatex" brand (at the auto store) makes a plastic gas tank/can repair kit.
    As does JB Weld "PlasticWeld".

So this splitting has to be caused (Or partially) by the cans swelling up and building presure?
