Looking to buy a new gas trimmer and I have narrowed it down to 3 choices. First is a craftsman 27 cc for $146 plus tax. Second is a Stihl FS90R for $320 plus tax. Third is a Redmax TR2350S for $270. I have a craftsman that is 8 to 10 years old and finally quit on me last year. My question is does anyone know anything about the Redmax? I know about the Craftsman and the Stihl. Any advice/ pros and cons would be appreciated.

None of the above. Echo is by far the best. Lightweight and powerful

Redmax makes very good quality stuff, as does Stihl.

Try them both out and see which one feels best in your hands.

Out of the three Sthil is the best but I would take the redmax and save the $50 over the sthil

Back on topic here fellows, Trimmers? I found a close Echo dealer I'll be checking them out. Any other models that are good that I should take a gander at?

I have been really happy with my shindiawa 242 so far this season. My guys love it and it does great for weekly maintenance. Lacks a ton of torque for heavy growth in retention ponds but the power to weight is unbelievable.
