I'm replacing the spindle bearings today on my Chariot. The two side pulley's came right off. How does the center pulley come off? Is it threaded, or just seized on there? I couldn't see a set screw either.

Also, This is an older Chariot, new about five yrs ago. I bought a extra spindle and it is different. It has threads above where the pulley would sit.

If it has threads above the splined part of the shaft then it has a keeper ring on the very top of the bearing. I have had some of them corroded so bad I have had to press them out. Look for the "C" clip on them though.

I have changed bearings in the field with them.

How many hours have you got on your chariot now I've got 860 on mine and will be ordering another ne this week an "LX" with a 25 kohler.

hey jim, I've got about 1300 hrs. It took a bout an hr of soaking it, but there were no threads, it was just filledith dirt and rust.

    Thanks.
