Hello to everyone. I was just wondering if anyone had any ballpark figures for what general liability would cost for a one man operation servicing about 50 accounts. Thanks

It all depends on the amount of coverage that you are going to require.

For example: I have a 2-Million dollar policy and it runs about $800/Year.

You may not require that much coverage, you may be able to get by with 1/2 Million or less in coverage at which point your premiums would be around 200-400/year.

Most commercial accounts require that you carry a minimum of 1 million.

Thanks for the reply. Those numbers are similar to others I've seen. Most of my accounts are residential but I have a couple of commercials and want to develope a few more, so the insurance is vital. Again thanks for the reply.

10000 equip coverage? That would barely cover a ztr getting stolen, what would you do if your trailer gets struck by lightning or you get into a wreck and your equipment gets thrown off your trailer? Not near enough coverage for the unexpected. Sure save a few bucks and you might never have a claim but it is better to spend a little more and have everything covered. I pay about 75 a month. Every piece of equipment is covered, if I add equipment I call the ins. guy and add it to the policy, no worries.

I'm paying around 900.00( 1 million liability limits) which includes coverage for all equipment loss or theft. ERIE is the company. As mentioend above, dont cut corners when you list all your equipment for coverage. If someone were to drive off with your trailer you'll be one sorry person if you dont have it all covered specifically on the policy.
