Getting injured...

    Do they line this work up for themselves or have the agency help?

    Mostly on their own.
    They could certainly go through the agency. And if there was no available work they can collect unemployment.

    Don't forget Social Security Disability benefits. They may not pay a lot, but better than nothing.

    Hopefully you have been paying your self employment taxes and have enough work credits to qualify.

    A policy to cover 2 years of benefit of 4 k per month costs me around 150 a month. After 2 years you could be on permeant disability.

    I just got long term disability ins. Its 50$ a month, payments start at 91st day of disability and lasts until im 70. Pays 3000 a month...
