gnats what to kill them.

    We have gnats bad if your in the yard the swam you. I have sprayed cutter also place granular. Any ideas on killing them.

    Nothing, really. You can try a cedar/mint oil combo like Tick Kilz as a repellant. Or spray everything with a bifenthrin product like Talstar. A garlic product might work. Gnats are really hard to control, due to their life cycle and habits. Bat houses work well for all sorts of bugs. Bats will eat their body weight a day in insects. That's a LOT of bugs.

    So are the gnats hatching out of rotting fruit nearby? Stagnant water? Get rid of rotting fruit. Perhaps apply a BT product like "Dunks" used for mosquitoes in stagnant water.

    Also gnats are not strong flyers. If you are sitting around outside perhaps an electric fan would discourage them. At the very least force them to fly upwind to reach you. Same for mosquitoes.
