A local guy has a two year old Trimstart 48" for sale with 750 hours. It runs good and has been kept up really well. He wants $3000 for it. I think it is a little much, what do you guys think?

Last spring I bought an 08 17HP 48" for $4350 out the door with a bagger. It was the last one at the distributor and had demo status as it was on the show floor there with 9 hrs. They normally new around $5300ish I think.

If it is in good shape maybe worth what he's asking but hard to say. See what maintenance he has done. The trans fluid and filter should have been done yearly at least with that amount of hours. Does it or did it have a sulky attached to it? Operator weight? Offer $2700 or so and see how it goes.

I added a Donaldson filter kit to mine as the stock one gets really dirty with how it is set up (sucks in dust). So seeing how that was maintain is key.

I will have to ask him about the sulky. I did forget to mention that it does come with the bagger as well. Thanks for the suggestion about looking at the filter. I was also thinking about offering him a figure in that range. Thanks.

Sold my 36" w/ 50hrs on it in the fall for $2300. That's a 36 though, but it was basically brand new w/ a sulky and extra blades.

I think in the 2700-3000 is about right. If its still in good shape and has done the proper services.
