When I bought out someone to get going full time I bought equipemtn less than a year old for about 1/2 of new cost.
    So :

    Blower $125
    Trimmer $150?
    Edger $175
    Sprayer $50
    Spreader $75
    Cub mower $200
    Lesco mower $1100
    Trailer $250

Those are just my guesses at 1/2 price but it's a start. The $2000 sounds right in there. Does he have any accounts you could take over as well?

The prices sound right but how is the physical condition of the equipmnt. As I'm sure you know, demo everything before you even give the guy a cent! Why is he selling out? Does he have any accounts to go with the equipment?

Sounds like a decent start-up package!

The guy relocated here from another area and isn't going to be doing the same line of work down here. The equipment was tested and seems to be in good working order. I'm picking up on Monday. Wish me luck!
